Call for Nominations: Spotlight Awards 2024

The Spotlight Awards, an initiative by the Youth and Community Development Training Initiative (TARP Africa), is back for its second edition, and this year, we are expanding our reach to include all tertiary institutions in Plateau State. This annual event celebrates and recognises exceptional student leaders who have made remarkable contributions to their institutions and communities.

The History of the Spotlight Awards

The Spotlight Awards was launched in 2023 with the goal of institutionalising a culture of recognising excellence in student leadership. The inaugural edition focused exclusively on student leaders from the University of Jos, highlighting their outstanding achievements and shining a light on the impact they created within their institutions and beyond.

The success of the first edition underscored the importance of celebrating young leaders and inspired us to broaden the scope for the 2024 edition. This year, we are excited to extend the awards to include all tertiary institutions across Plateau State, enabling us to spotlight even more inspiring stories of leadership and excellence.

  • Inspire other young leaders to strive for greater impact.
  • Showcase the role of youth in driving societal change.
